A tour of the South.
Sfakia is known as the land that’s never been conquered. As a rough,
unforgiving land. The earth is barren, not a lot can grow on the jagged
hills of the area, under a scorching sun and a constand battering of
African winds. But, what it lacks in green, it makes up for in blue. In stark
contrast to the rough edges of the island, lies the dazzling azure of the
Libyan sea. We love it.

A tour of the south, where we get to experience the roughest part of Crete. A land that has never been conquered!

Itinerary

  • Our first stop is the entrance of the Imbros gorge. There, people have the option of hiking the gorge, or simply take some pictures.
  • We continue down to the village of Sfakia, where we can choose to have a snack and a coffee, swim and explore the village.
  • Next, we pick up anyone who chooses to hike the Imbros gorge and head to Fragokastelo for a swim in the beautiful beach and to explore the ancient castle.
  • We make our return to the hotels, with an optional stop for lunch at a local restaurant.
